The Technical Director/Producer will provide leadership and production expertise for weekend services, rehearsals, and special events in her/his assigned venue. This position will work closely with the Creative Arts team and venue worship team(s) to execute the vision of venue-specific worship environments. The Technical Director/Producer will develop, train, and lead volunteers and will take a high level of outcome-oriented responsibility for AVL service elements. 8-10 hours per week.


Lead tech ministry preparation (including weeknight rehearsals) and day-of production of worship services (Sunday morning).

Engage with ministry staff and volunteers to plan assess all services, identifying programming successes and opportunities for improvement on a weekly basis. Participate in weekly planning meetings and additional conversations around special events.

Develop tech ministry volunteers for various roles, including audio engineer, video, lights, and projection. Oversee scheduling and training of all venue-specific volunteers and participate in / lead cross-venue trainings as needed.

Troubleshoot all AVL systems for your assigned venue, including in-service issues as well as preventative maintenance, system upgrades/repairs and equipment installs.

Provide technical expertise across a variety of systems including: Behringer X32 and/or Midas M32; Crestron, Extron, and Blackmagic Design video systems; ETC EOS Family lighting systems; RenewedVision ProPresenter 6; Audinate Dante networking.

Enjoy working with a broad range of tech team volunteers and volunteer musicians responsible for services featuring “Classic” (orchestra, choir, etc.) and “Acoustic” (worship band) styles.
