Cross Roads Church is looking for a motivated leader to serve as our Pastor of Community Life.

This position will provide leadership and oversight to our adult ministry teams. This staff member will be key in implementing an assimilation process that provides opportunities for individuals to serve and connect in healthy environments.

Primary Responsibilities

Provide leadership and development opportunities to the following teams:

  • Welcome team
  • Men’s ministry
  • Women’s ministry
  • 55+ ministry
  • Small group task force: Responsible for all aspects of ensuring the congregation is connecting with one another and building community through a strong, healthy, and growing groups ministry. This includes development and execution of a strategic growth plan, group leader identification and recruitment, and ongoing leadership, development, and coaching of group leaders.

Work on ministry alignment while developing needed systems and structures to increase effectiveness of adult ministries. The end goal is to help:

  • Our guests become repeat visitors (stick)
  • Our visitors become family (belong)
  • Our family find a place to serve and connect (grow)
  • Have all adult ministry teams working towards a unified goal

Work with Lead Pastor to help carry churchwide administration responsibilities

  • Provide oversight and direction to our office administration staff and their areas of responsibility
  • Enhance and run our assimilation process including membership and outreach strategies

  • Ideally have a minimum of five years’ experience as a staff member in a ministry leadership capacity
  • Possession of a bachelor’s degree in ministry or related field
  • A commitment to continuing education in your area of ministry
  • Gifted in administration, organization, and logistics
  • Skilled at mobilizing members and executing strategy
  • Ability to interact with diverse people groups
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to think through critical issues and develop a plan of action (problem solving)
  • Ability to assess priorities (time management)
  • Demonstrated work ethic and excellence in previous work/volunteer environments
  • Skilled communicator in written and digital contexts
