Congregations are encouraged to coordinate travel with others in their region to share car rental costs. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWatch Before General Assembly\n\n\n\nTo help prepare all attendees for what to expect at General Assembly this year\, Alan Robinson (national director) has recorded a series of three videos to help us prepare. We strongly encourage all attendees to watch in advance. \n\n\n\nVideo 1 \n\n\n\nHave you ever wondered why we gather for General Assembly? In this video\, Alan explains the purpose of General Assembly and introduces us to this year’s theme. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Our Theme – Multiplica\n\n\n\n\nAs Jesus ascended into heaven\, he told his disciples that they would be his witnesses locally and globally. (Acts 1:8) Likewise\, our congregations are called to impact and invest in their own communities. \n\n\n\nOur theme for General Assembly 2026 will be Multiplica\, Spanish for “multiply.” This is the first time Spanish has been used for the theme for General Assembly\, and we did this for two key reasons: \n\n\n\nFirst\, Multiplica captures the energy and growth the BIC U.S. is experiencing in Spanish-language congregations across the United States. \n\n\n\nSecond\, it is directly tied to priority three of Project 250: multiplying missional congregations\, movements\, and leaders. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nGeneral Assembly 2026 will invite us to explore ways to strengthen and multiply our leaders\, congregations\, and ministries so that people will be drawn into a lifelong relationship of knowing\, loving and following Jesus. \n\n\n\n\nVideo 2 \n\n\n\nAlan shares the recommended amendments to the Manual of Doctrine and Government (MDG) that will be discussed at General Assembly this year. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nVideo 3 \n\n\n\nThis final video follows up on some discussions from the 2024 General Assembly\, and Alan explains why some proposed changes to the MDG will be remaining the same. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nQuestions?\n\n\n\nContact Tammie Gitt\, administrative coordinator\, at tgitt@bicus.org.

SUMMARY:Cultivate 2026
DESCRIPTION:Ericka Henry (multiplication coordinator) shares more about the goals and motivation for Cultivate 2026.\n\n\n\nCultivate 2026 is a national Brethren in Christ gathering designed for those sensing a call to church planting\, multiplication\, or revitalization—as well as leaders who have recently launched new works (within the past two years). This weekend will create space for prayer and discernment\, denominational resourcing\, and meaningful connection with others taking next steps in this work. \n\n\n\nThe event will be held at The Farminary at Princeton Theological Seminary in New Jersey. \n\n\n\nParticipation is limited (30–35 spots) and will be shaped through a simple application process where individuals can share their ministry ideas\, stage\, plans\, and hopes. Scholarships will be available for selected participants. \n\n\n\nWe’d especially value your help in identifying people with renewed or emerging vision\, initiatives\, or curiosity around multiplication—those who would benefit from encouragement\, clarity\, and community. \n\n\n\nTo Apply\n\n\n\nTo apply\, complete the Multiplication Initiative Pipeline intake form (linked below) by Friday\, August 14. \n\n\n\nAll applicants are advised to hold space in their calendar for October 9-11 and will be notified of final decisions no later August 31. \n\n\n\n\nApply
