Watch Before General Assembly
To help prepare all attendees for what to expect at General Assembly this year, Alan Robinson (national director) has recorded a series of three videos to help us prepare. We strongly encourage all attendees to watch in advance.
Video 1
Have you ever wondered why we gather for General Assembly? In this video, Alan explains the purpose of General Assembly and introduces us to this year’s theme.
About Our Theme – Multiplica

As Jesus ascended into heaven, he told his disciples that they would be his witnesses locally and globally. (Acts 1:8) Likewise, our congregations are called to impact and invest in their own communities.
Our theme for General Assembly 2026 will be Multiplica, Spanish for “multiply.” This is the first time Spanish has been used for the theme for General Assembly, and we did this for two key reasons:
First, Multiplica captures the energy and growth the BIC U.S. is experiencing in Spanish-language congregations across the United States.
Second, it is directly tied to priority three of Project 250: multiplying missional congregations, movements, and leaders.
General Assembly 2026 will invite us to explore ways to strengthen and multiply our leaders, congregations, and ministries so that people will be drawn into a lifelong relationship of knowing, loving and following Jesus.
Video 2
Alan shares the recommended amendments to the Manual of Doctrine and Government (MDG) that will be discussed at General Assembly this year.
Video 3
This final video follows up on some discussions from the 2024 General Assembly, and Alan explains why some proposed changes to the MDG will be remaining the same.
