Manor Church is looking for a passionate leader who loves Jesus and loves kids to serve as our Kid’s Ministries Director (Birth–6th Grade). This role will provide vision and leadership for children’s ministry, develop amazing volunteer teams, and partner with families to help kids grow in their faith.

The Kid’s Ministries Director provides vision, leadership, and oversight for the ministry to children (birth through 6th grade) and their families, helping children grow in a vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ and supporting parents as the primary spiritual influencers in their homes.

Qualifications

1. A clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and evidence of a personal calling to ministry.
2. A growing and vibrant Christian life demonstrated through character, integrity, and spiritual leadership.
3. Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-staff ministry environment.
4. Strong leadership, administrative, and communication skills, with the ability to relate well to children, parents, volunteers, staff, and the community.
5. Appropriate education and/or ministry experience, with a commitment to continued professional and spiritual development.
6. A commitment to align ministry efforts with the mission, vision, and values of Manor Church.
7. Demonstrated ability to teach, lead, mentor, and develop others.

Essential Functions

1. Demonstrate a genuine love for children and a passion for helping them take their next step in their faith journey with Jesus Christ.
2. Provide overall leadership, vision, and coordination for ministries serving children from birth through 6th grade.
3. Recruit, train, equip, and support volunteers and leaders to serve effectively in children’s ministry while maintaining a safe, welcoming environment for all children.
4. Select, develop, and implement biblically sound and age-appropriate curriculum and ministry resources.
5. Provide spiritual leadership and pastoral care for children, volunteers, and families connected to the ministry.
6. Foster a ministry culture that supports families and encourages strong connections within the church community.
7. Stay informed about best practices and trends in children’s ministry through ongoing learning, research, and professional development.

1. Continually evaluate ministry programs and strategies to ensure alignment with the mission and vision of the church.
2. Maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate ministry activities and events.
3. Participate in worship services and church-wide events as arranged.
4. Represent the church in the community and build relationships that strengthen outreach and engagement.
5. Model faithfulness, integrity, diligence, and Christ-centered attitudes in all aspects of ministry and leadership.
