About

Cedar Grove Brethren in Christ Church is seeking a lead pastor, called by God and committed to shepherding our congregation and preaching the truth of God’s Word.

Cedar Grove BIC is located in Mifflintown, Pa., a scenic, rural community in Juniata County centered between State College and Harrisburg. Juniata County is a vibrant area full of hardworking, caring people who hold strongly to their conservative values, all of which make it a great place to live and raise a family.

Our desire is to find a person of integrity who will seek God’s vision for our growing church. With approximately 275 weekly attendees representing all age groups, Cedar Grove is one of the larger churches in our county. The congregation includes many young families, one of the largest growing segments of our church body.

It’s an exciting time in our church as we earnestly desire spiritual growth and discipleship. We are praying for a lead pastor with a strong knowledge of scripture who believes the Bible to be the authoritative Word of God and preaches the truth of the Gospel to equip us to live out our faith. We value our BIC heritage and traditions, but not above our love for God and faith in Jesus Christ.

We are seeking a pastor who is humble and energetic, with proven management skills and a servant’s heart. Our congregation is generous and passionate about outreach in the local community and globally. We value relationships and connections. It’s important that our lead pastor can relate to a wide range of personalities and is willing to take time to develop godly relationships within our church family and our local community and to guide our pastoral team as they minister to both.
