Free Grace Brethren in Christ Church is seeking its next Lead Pastor. Located in rural Millersburg, Pa., Free Grace BIC has a long history of ministry in its community. The congregation is looking for someone called by God to continue that history, but also to break new ground, particularly within the next generation.

Qualifications & Characteristics

Well-suited applicants will be able to relate well with all ages, learn and understand the culture of Free Grace and the surrounding area, shepherd the congregation, and help the people of the congregation to impact the community with the love and message of Jesus, while finding meaningful ways to meet practical needs.

Theological education and some pastoral experience are preferred, but even more important is someone who is Biblically-sound, has a warm pastor’s heart, and is gifted in discipling others. These characteristics should be expressed in one’s preaching and teaching, in one’s care for the congregation, and in helping to lead this congregation in new ways of vital impact among the community at large.

Foundational to all these areas is prayer and someone who understands how to listen and receive from God, so that it can then be shared and overflow to others.

Candidates must be or be willing to be licensed in the Brethren in Christ Church.
