Part-Time Multiplication Support Coordinator

The Multiplication Support Coordinator advances disciple-making and church multiplication across BIC U.S. by collaborating with regional leaders, casting vision, and facilitating strategic processes. Over a five year period, this role oversees the intake and incubation of new ministry initiatives, develops training and assessment resources, manages key events and communications, and builds volunteer teams to support multiplication efforts nationwide.

This role is part-time (20 hours/week) and is a 5-year temporary position.

Qualifications & Competencies

The following qualifications are found to be essential in the work of the Multiplication Support Coordinator:

  • A growing relationship with Jesus Christ and alignment with BIC U.S. values and mission
  • Have or be willing to obtain a BIC minister’s credential, experience in church planting strongly preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; Spanish proficiency preferred
  • Effective organizational, planning, and time management abilities
  • Familiarity with church health and growth principles
  • Creative and innovative problem-solving skills
  • Proven leadership and team-building capabilities
  • Proficiency in documentation and project management tools
  • Skilled in managing priorities and balancing short- and long-term goals
  • High technical proficiency with databases, Outlook, email, and MS Office Suite

Essential Responsibilities

The Multiplication Support Coordinator carries the following responsibilities:

  • Support multiplication efforts through connection with each regional conference and other members of Leadership Council.
  • Cast vision for a multiplication movement across the BIC US.
  • Administer intake process that receives and vets new work ideas alongside existing regional recruitment processes.
  • Facilitate training and assessment processes.
  • Oversee Incubation Entity that can manage administrative and liability concerns for (some or all types of) approved works in the “Incubation” stage of development.
  • Plan and convene an annual (at minimum) catalyst gathering where prospective leaders and missional teams can be connected to resources, community, and spiritual support.
  • Manage and update a BIC US website page through BIC Communication which includes a directory page for vetted planting and disciple-making works similar to the one managed by World Missions.
  • Develop and manage denominational asset inventory in partnership with regional leadership.
  • Create or source training materials, assessments, and supports based on feedback at the regional and local levels.
  • Build out teams of skilled volunteers who will eventually carry out key functions of multiplication support throughout the denomination including:
    • Curriculum and training development
    • Catalyst gathering(s)
    • Coaches and mentors
    • Administrative and advisory support

Physical Demands of the Work Environment

The Multiplication Support Coordinator operates primarily in a church office environment and requires prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and regularly operating standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. This position requires mobility within the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

The role of Multiplication Support Coordinator may involve travel and requires the ability to move about outside the office. The role will require occasional weekend work related to in person or online events. While performing the duties of the job, the Multiplication Support Coordinator is often required to remain in a stationary position while making presentations; handle or control objects, tools, or controls; communicate, discern, and discuss within both public and private contexts. The Multiplication Support Coordinator may be requested to lift and carry up to 20 pounds at a time.
