About
The Thriving Congregations Assistant assists the Thriving Congregations Program Director with coordinating details for upcoming gatherings, gathering reimbursement requests, updating information on the website, corresponding with participating congregations, etc.
10-15 hours per week

Qualifications & Competencies
- Developed and meaningful relationship with God.
- A heart for ministry to both adults and children.

- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with diverse church members and leadership.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting using church management software.
- Familiarity with principles of congregational health and church growth strategies.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Passion for supporting church community development and spiritual growth.
Essential Responsibilities
Data Management
- Maintain and update congregational data within the church management system (CMS).
- Analyze demographic and participation data to identify trends and inform program development.
- Generate reports on congregational engagement and key metrics related to the Thriving Congregations initiative.
Event Coordination
- Assist in planning and executing Thriving Congregations in-person cohort gatherings.
- Manage logistics including venue and lodging reservations, catering, registration, and communication with attendees.
- Develop promotional materials for upcoming events related to the Thriving Congregations program.
- Attend Thriving Congregations in-person cohort gatherings that are held in south-central Pennsylvania.
Communication Support
- Create and distribute regular communication updates regarding the Thriving Congregations program to cohort participants.
- Create social media and website content related to the initiative.
- Facilitate communication between church staff, congregational leaders, and external partners involved in the Thriving Congregations program.
Congregational Assessment Support
- Assist in conducting congregational surveys and neighboring assessments to identify areas for growth and development.
- Compile and analyze data from assessments to inform program progress.
Program Implementation
- Support the implementation of various programs and initiatives designed to enhance congregational health and engagement.
- Track program progress and gather data to measure impact.
Administrative Tasks
- Maintain files and records related to the Thriving Congregations initiative.
- Manage budgets and track expenses associated with the Thriving Congregations program.
