Part-Time Worship Director

Conoy BIC is looking for a part-time Worship Director. The Worship Director will work closely with the Senior Pastor in cultivating worship services and worship teams that help lead the congregation into the presence of the Holy Spirit, to see and savor the greatness of God in Jesus Christ.

Qualifications

1. A love for the local church and a commitment to Conoy BIC’s Mission Statement and Core Values.
2. Committed to continued spiritual growth and open to accountability.
3. Ability to work with Sr. Pastor and leaders in the congregation.
4. Have a gifting in leading congregational Worship.
5. Must possess leadership and organization skills.
6. Be a team player.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Planning for the weekly Sunday morning Worship Service. Choosing the best of old and new songs that engage the congregation to worship.
2. Modeling and leading heartfelt worship in an invitational style – one that draws people in, encourages participation, and points the people to Jesus.
3. Recruiting, auditioning, teaching, and training musicians in the church to serve the congregation as a team with musical skill and humility.
4. Leading weekly rehearsals that serve a dual purpose: A) Preparation for Sunday and B) Cultivation of Christ-centered community
5. Building on traditions and having a vision for where God may be calling the congregation and our musicians to grow in new expressions of worship.
6. Serving as a member of the Ministry Team at Conoy BIC, demonstrating a commitment to this congregation and its mission.
7. Using of Pro-Presenter software for Sunday service.
8. Scheduling worship teams/musicians.
9. Communicating with worship team members/musicians via e-mail/phone calls.
10. Providing chord charts and copies to worship team/musicians.
11. Setting up equipment and checking sound prior to Sunday service.

Time Commitment: Weekly (10 -12 hours)
