Webinar: Cultivating a Psychologically Safe Ministry Culture

June 19 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Beyond Harassment Prevention

When it comes to harassment prevention, leadership in ministry must set its sights much higher than merely avoiding misconduct, noncompliance, and lawsuits. Corporate business leaders are embracing a new approach to harassment prevention known as Psychological Safety, the core tenants of which are founded and supported by Scripture. The Church should be at the forefront of implementing these principles within our congregations and ministries.

In this webinar, human resources administrator Peter Guinther will teach how to embrace Psychological Safety and create an environment of respect, inclusion, learning, growth, contribution, and rewarded vulnerability.

Registration is free but required to join the live webinar.

About the Presenter

Peter Guinther, human resources administrator

Peter has served as our Human Resources Administrator since 2016 but has spent a lifetime in ministry. His roles have included BIC U.S. missionary, youth director, and World Missions finance coordinator – just to name a few. In Zambia, he and his wife Cheryl were instrumental in launching the Choma Reading Room (now Piccolo School of Excellence) to help homeless and disadvantaged children complete their education and graduate high school.

As BIC U.S. Human Resources Administrator, Peter serves and cares for U.S. staff and missionaries. He also serves on the Commission on Ministry and Doctrine, writing letters and developing policy on their behalf.

He and Cheryl now live in Mechanicsburg, Pa. He is passionate about formational prayer and devotes much of his spare time to growing in that area.
