  • Currently serving: Bogotá, Colombia
  • Home church: Manheim BIC
  • Serving since: 2022

Jenna Martin was born and raised in Lancaster County, Pa., and attended Manheim BIC with her family. She accepted the Lord at a young age and was introduced to cross-cultural missions in high school through short-term trips to Guatemala where she served among orphans and at-risk children. God became real to her through these trips, and she continued to grow in her faith through college.

Since childhood, Jenna dreamed of becoming a nurse. She received her associates in nursing at Pennsylvania College of Health Sciences and her bachelor’s in nursing at Eastern Mennonite University in Lancaster. She has worked in several hospitals since completing college and appreciates her experiences in the hospital setting where she has encountered people of many different cultures.

Jenna joined the World Missions Missionary Development Program when she started feeling a call to global missions. She wanted to find a way to use the nursing skills the Lord blessed her with to bless others. Through prayer and discernment, she felt led to El Camino Academy in Bogotá, Colombia, and deployed for her first term in 2022 as a school nurse and health teacher.

Jenna loves spending time with family and friends and enjoys going for walks, hiking, reading, journaling, exploring new places, and experiencing new cultures. She is passionate about seeing lives changed and relationships grow through the love and grace of God.
