Short-Term Opportunities
We lead others to explore the breadth of the global Church and inspire the next generation of global workers.
Our short-term trips (one to two weeks) offer a unique opportunity to connect with believers across cultures, encounter God at work around the world, and grow deeper in personal faith. Facilitated by World Missions staff, these trips enable participants to step out of their comfort zones, serve alongside global faith leaders, and expand their understanding of the worldwide Church.
Upcoming Trips
Bogota, Colombia
June 2024* | El Camino Academy (ECA) is a non-profit, interdenominational Christian school in Bogota, Colombia. They serve foreign missionaries and other Christian families. ECA is interested in teams serving for their June Jamboree each summer. This is a weekly program that is offered to students ages 5 to grade 6. Programming includes math, science, music, drama, arts and crafts, and sports. This would be a great trip for all ages to serve together.

Dearborn, Michigan
July and August 2024* | Dearborn, MI, is home to the largest population of Arabs in the U.S., many of whom are first or second generation immigrants or refugees. We partner with a local group to host English and math camps for refugee children to help them continue to do well in school. This is a unique opportunity to help refugee families in a very practical way while sharing Jesus’ love.
Many refugees children coming to this program have never encountered Christians before. As such, our team members should approach this trip with a posture of servanthood, an attitude of learning, and a heart to be the hands and feet of Jesus.
- Applications due March 2024 (below)
Athens, Greece
Fall 2024* | The refugee crisis in Europe continues as people flee conflict in the Middle East, and Greece is a critical stop in many refugee’s journeys. We partner with local ministries in Athens that assist these families through practical help, community building, and Gospel sharing.
Many refugees coming to these ministries have never encountered Christians before. As such, our team members should approach this trip with a posture of servanthood, an attitude of learning, and a heart to be the hands and feet of Jesus.
Please note that this trip requires extensive walking and time on your feet. Applicants should be comfortable with walking up to 5 miles.

*International ministry is unpredictable, and the implementation of this trip is dependent upon team members that apply.
We believe that maintaining Mission Excellence standards is vitally important to a successful short-term trip. To that end, our teams are finalized six months in advance of any trip to ensure adequate time for training and spiritual preparation. With that in mind, if you are interested in any of the trips, please complete and submit your application as soon as possible.
