Alan Robinson, BIC U.S. national director, called us to focus our attention on the second portion of the weekend’s theme: “To Love Jesus.”
“Love at first sight is not our story,” opened Alan in reference to his relationship with his wife, Sharon, whom he has been married more than 30 years.
Instead, their love has been a commitment to cherish one another through times of struggle and prosperity, joy and pain.
So, too, “love at first sight” doesn’t reflect our relationship with Christ: For the Christ follower, to love Jesus is lifelong fidelity to God. Such a commitment manifests itself in our actions toward humanity.
