We are pleased to welcome Pastor Tara Beth Leach as our keynote speaker for General Assembly 2022 in Salina, Kansas, July 22-25. Tara Beth was scheduled to speak at our gathering in 2020, but the pandemic sadly changed everyone’s plans. We were thrilled to re-extend the invitation again this year.

Tara Beth is a pastor, preacher of the word, and a writer. She speaks widely at conferences, retreats, and universities across America on women in ministry, church leadership, and the call to be a radiant witness. She is a pastor at Christ Church of Oak Brook in the western suburbs of Chicago. Previously, she was the first woman to serve as the senior pastor of First Church of the Nazarene of Pasadena, a historic congregation in Southern California.

For each General Assembly, we strive to invite at least one speaker from outside the BIC U.S. community. “We believe it is helpful for us to hear from others who are also seeking to follow Jesus, especially others from within theological streams that are part of our own DNA and identity,” says Alan Robinson, National Director of BIC U.S.

Tara Beth lives in Chicagoland with her husband Jeff and their two rambunctious sons. She holds degrees from Olivet Nazarene University and Northern Theological Seminary. She has written several books, including Emboldened, Radiant Church, and Forty Days on Being a Six.

Register now for General Assembly 2022.
