This summer, BIC U.S. World Missions welcomed two new staff members: Becky Owen and Stephen Badiger.

Becky Owen

Becky Owen, member care assistant

Becky Owen serves as the Member Care Assistant for BIC U.S. World Missions. In this part-time role, she works closely with Pam Arnold to care for our global team with a particular focus on Third Culture Kids (TCKs) before, during and after their time abroad. She developed a passion for supporting TCKs by parenting two of her own as her family served in Malawi for nearly a decade. She personally knows the value of equipping families to navigate cross-cultural living and helping them process challenges along the way. Becky brings a rich background of experiences to this position, including music education, higher education administrative leadership, homeschooling, substitute teaching, 20 years of marriage, fifteen years of parenting, and nine years of international service.

Becky lives in Mechanicsburg, Pa., with her husband and two kids. They attend Grantham BIC Church where she serves as a youth leader mentoring teens and tweens. In her free time, she enjoys running, playing badminton and board/card games, and watching The Amazing Race with her family.

Stephen Badiger

Stephen Badiger, global ministry systems coordinator

Stephen serves as the Global Ministry Systems Coordinator, assisting with finance and ministry-related services both globally and domestically.

He has a long history with the BIC. With dual master’s degrees in business and divinity, he served with the BIC Church in West India for over sixteen years, first as a worship and associate pastor and most recently as director of the conference. During his tenure in these ministry positions, he also worked in various businesses, banks, and as a music teacher before starting his own accounting firm that served clients in India and the U.S.

In 2022, Stephen joined World Missions as the Global Finance Coordinator. In this role, he worked throughout Southeast Asia to equip leaders in church finance and was instrumental in organizing the Leadership Summit for Southeast Asia leaders in 2023. Stephen recently moved to the United States with his wife and young son. They now reside in Grantham, Pa., where he works full-time at the BIC U.S. denomination office. Stephen loves playing the guitar and keyboard in his free time and often posts his music videos online.

We are blessed to have them on our team and know their unique gifts will serve the Church well.
