Dear friend,
Thanks to your support, we have collaborated with BIC communities around the world this year. Two impactful examples come to mind: training international leaders and sending famine relief.
Training International Leaders – In August, Asian BIC leaders gathered in Thailand for the BIC History and Values Core Course. Participants included leaders from Japan, India, Nepal, South Korea, and Thailand, along with eight individuals who joined remotely from Gateway Karis Church in California.
The course topic resonated with this group of leaders and sparked conversation about diverse cultural perspectives on BIC history and values. Representatives from different countries shared devotionals and led worship throughout the event. An atmosphere of fellowship grew over the three days, and valuable connections are paving the way for future collaborative ministry.
Sending Famine Relief – Much of southern Africa is facing a season of famine following severe drought and subsequent crop failure. We have already sent several distributions from the Global Compassion Fund to areas where food is scarce, including Macha Mission Hospital in Zambia.
In addition to the hospital’s feeding program, they have transformed a large field and nearby water borehole into a community garden. With some fencing and a new solar pump, local families can now plant gardens with better access to water, offering hope amidst a life-threatening crisis.
These stories highlight two of the many ways World Missions is collaborating with our global family. As we approach Christmas, would you consider making a year-end gift* to World Missions? Your generous support will help us continue partnering with our sisters and brothers around the world.
Thank you for your partnership in the gospel.
