The Towel and Basin Worship Collective – a group made up of BIC musicians, pastors, and songwriters – is thrilled to announce the release of their first album, Compelling Worship. You can now listen on all major streaming platforms, including Spotify, iTunes, Amazon, IHeartRadio, Apple Music, and YouTube.
The album is a companion to the new Compelling Worship resource guide.
The song order of the album is intended to reflect a worship service flow:
- “God of Grace,” “Morning and Evening,” and “Praise to the Lord the Almighty” are all gathering songs; invitations to come and worship and center hearts on God’s story.
- “This is My Father’s World” and “He Reigns” make space to worship God for who he is.
- “We Come” helps draw in to listen to the Word of God, which turns the attention to the person of Jesus in the songs “Peace You Bought” and “Jesus Christ.”
- As ears are tuned to Jesus, the response is a desire to follow and trust him, reflected in the songs “We Will Follow,” “‘Tis So Sweet,” and “I Have Decided to Follow Jesus.”
- The album closes with songs of witness and mission with “This Little Light,” “Love That is True,” and “Christ Before and Christ Beneath.” The “amens” at the end of “Christ Before and Christ Beneath” provide a fitting corporate confession of “Yes Lord!” to all that has been expressed.
Lead sheets and chord charts for all the songs are available for free; lyric videos are being added to the Towel and Basin YouTube channel.
