We desire to honor God with handling our church finances with both integrity and wise stewardship.  This role provides financial organization for our church while working closely with our MBIC Executive Pastor, Treasurer and Finance Team. This role is part time, 14-hours a week, usually Mondays and Wednesdays.

  • Receipt collection, enter into accounting journal, deposit at bank
  • Oversee Payroll for all MBIC Employees, submitted on Wednesdays every 2 weeks
  • Maintain & organize vendor files
  • Organize invoices for payment
  • Pay invoices in timely manner
  • Process monthly credit card statements for staff
  • Process reimbursement “Blue” sheets filled out by staff and volunteers
  • Provide weekly #’s for bulletin – by Wednesday noon
  • Produce Monthly YTD Expense reports for each ministry overseer
  • Produce Monthly Financial Report for Leadership Board
  • Payroll Taxes (Federal, State, Local)
  • Workman’s compensation reporting, every pay period
  • Monthly Pension
  • Quarterly Health Savings Account Deposits
  • Monthly Cooperative Ministries payments, quarterly missionary support
  • Private Loan support
  • Offering envelope system
  • Maintain good relationship with donors & bank
  • Produce year-end donor statements
  • Produce year-end w-2’s for all employees
  • January is very busy with year-end reporting and prep for church council
  • Assist Preschool with budget updates & reports
  • Send invoices (Stripe) weekly for facility use and additional expenses
  • Yearly reporting to BIC Denomination

Main Office

  • Help donors with giving questions, donation receipts, year-end statement questions
  • Provide new employees with financial orientation (payroll & reimbursement process)
  • Assist new employees with w-4 & direct deposit setup

Reporting Relationship

  • The Executive Pastor will be the primary supervisor of this role
  • The Lead Pastor oversees all church staff
