We are excited to share that the BIC U.S. communications team received several awards last month from the Evangelical Press Association. The awards celebrated several facets of the team’s work including writing, multimedia storytelling, the website, and the Connect newsletter.
- Third Place in Blog: Single Post for “Cooperative Congregations” – This article was originally published in the 2024 Annual Report. The judge’s comments read, “Your pairing with journalistic photography was exceptional, and your use of in-the-field reporting with direct quotes was perfectly and intentionally integrated.”
- Fourth Place in E-Newsletter for the Connect Newsletter – The judge commented that, “the strength of this newsletter is the thoughtful and extensive content curation that leverages a range of story types.”
- Fourth Place in Visual Storytelling for “Cooperative Congregations” – This was a new category this year, so we are thrilled to have placed. “This work is solid,” wrote the judge. “You didn’t depend on snazzy design tools or processes to carry the message. You did it through strong photography, text and video. You gave your audience a chance to be right there at the Mt. Rock Worship Center.”
- Award of Merit in Denominational (digital) for bicus.org
We are honored to receive such recognition and are excited to continue writing, filming, and publishing stories that encourage, edify, and equip the BIC community.
