General Assembly ’26 Nursery, Children, and Youth Ministry Leaders Announced

Elizabet Gendriz, Jeleany Mesa, and Paola Villa Moreno will lead age-specific programming

General Assembly 2026 (July 24-27 in Miami, Fla.) is a family event, where all ages are welcome! As July approaches, we are thrilled to announce the leaders of our nursery, children, and youth ministries: Elizabet Gendriz, Jeleany Mesa, and Paola Villa Moreno. Along with a qualified team of volunteers they will lead impactful programming for children and teens, leading them to consider our theme, “Multiplica.”

Elizabet Gendriz

Elizabet Gendriz, nursery director

Elizabet Gendriz is from the Kendall area of Miami, Fla., and is currently a dedicated stay-at-home mom who faithfully serves in her church community.

She is actively involved in several ministries, including Kids Ministry, Worship, and Dance at Iglesia Cristiana Bethel BIC. Elizabet finds great joy in serving wherever there is a need, especially in planting the Word of God in the hearts of young children. Her desire is to help guide the next generation onto the right path, leading them closer to Jesus Christ from their earliest years.

Elizabet has a heart for order and excellence in everything she does, creating environments where children can feel safe, loved, and nurtured in their faith. She is honored to serve in this role and is passionate about making a lasting impact in the lives of the little ones entrusted to her care. She looks forward to being part of General Assembly 2026 and witnessing how God will work in the lives of the youngest attendees.

Nursery ministry is for children two years old and younger.

Jeleany Mesa

Jeleany Mesa, children’s director

Jeleany Mesa is originally from Miami, Fla,, and lives a full, faith-centered life alongside her husband and their two children, ages 10 and 9. She currently serves as a church secretary and Kids Ministry Director at Iglesia Cristiana Bethel BIC, faithfully investing in both the spiritual and operational life of her church.

She has had the privilege of serving in multiple areas of ministry, especially in children’s ministry, where she helps lead, teach, and organize programs for young learners. She has also supported administrative roles within the church. Through these experiences, Jeleany has developed a deep love for serving others and building strong, healthy ministry environments.

Jeleany is passionate about discipling the next generation and helping children build a strong, personal relationship with Jesus from a young age. She is committed to creating spaces where children feel welcomed, loved, and encouraged to grow in their faith. She considers it an honor to pour into others and be part of what God is doing in people’s lives. Jeleany looks forward to serving during General Assembly 2026, trusting God to move powerfully in the heart of every child.

Children’s programming is for students age three through fifth grade.

Paola Villa Moreno

Paola Villa Moreno, youth director

Paola Villa Moreno was born in Florencia, Caquetá, Colombia, and immigrated to the United States at the age of 15. Since then, she has made Miami, Florida her home. She has been married to her husband, Cesar, for 24 years, and together they have two teenage children.

Paola has faithfully served at Ministerio Cristiano Monte Sion since the age of 19. She is deeply passionate about serving the Lord in any area where there is a need and finds great joy in ministering to others. For almost two decades, she has been dedicated to youth ministry, investing in the lives of young people and walking alongside them in their spiritual journey.

She has a heart to see this generation grow in their relationship with Christ and live out their faith with purpose. Paola considers it a privilege to lead and mentor youth, and she is excited to continue pouring into their lives, believing God will do great things in and through them. She looks forward to General Assembly 2026 with great expectation for all that God will do in the lives of the youth.

Youth program is for students in sixth through twelfth grade.
