Part-Time Multiplication & Mission Team Leader

The Susquehanna Regional Conference of BIC U.S. is committed to a shared leadership model where teams are developed to carry out Kingdom work across our conference. We are looking for a Multiplication & Mission Team Leader (approximately 2-3 hours/week) to support and encourage Susquehanna pastors.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Will assist the Bishop Leadership Team in developing teams and/or programs for church planting and missional connections
  • Will explore various methods of church planting and help create a conference-wide strategy for multiplication that can be contextualized in our unique Susquehanna communities
  • Will share responsibility for facilitating conversations with pastors, exploring new avenues of development, and communicating possibilities for growth and expansion
  • Will share responsibility for helping churches dream, plan, and carry out effective multiplication initiatives

Qualifications

  • A consistent and engaged member of a Susquehanna Conference Brethren in Christ church
  • Possesses knowledge and experience related to the work of pastors and church planting
  • Experience in a variety of ministry contexts, particularly church planting (preferred)
  • Possesses a good understanding of Brethren in Christ theology
  • Possesses strong relational and communication skills
  • Prior experience in coaching (preferred)
  • Ability in administration, committed to and capable of collaborative leadership
  • Ability to hear and assimilate layers of communication from various church contexts
  • Familiar with, and committed to, the use of information technology
